How to configure Windows Server 2016 in VM Ware (1)

First you have to download VM Ware work station.

Also you need a windows server16 iso file.



Step 1: Click on "Create a New Virtual Machine"➝ Click on "Typical" (Which was defaultly selected)






















      
                                



     Step 2: Choose windows server image file. Click to Download






































Step 3: After clicking Next, you need to fill this Wizard
  • Version of Windows to install : choose Windows Server 2016 Standered
  • Full name : Administrator
  • Password : abc@123






































Step 4: Choose location for saving the Virtual Machine.(It takes more than 20GB)






































Step 5: Do the following steps:






































  • Select Customize Hardware and Increase the memory upto 4GB. Then click Close

  •      Click Finish



Now your Virtual Machine is alive.

Interrupt the kernel to change the fstab - RHCSA

What is fstab?  fstab is a file, used enter information about partitions with options. Such as if we want to persistently mount hard disk we add its uuid and file type to fstab. When boot-up process, fstab is read. fstab is in /etc/fstab  You can view it using vim text editor. vim /etc/fstab . Then you will receive following.   If there is an error, boot-up process will be stucked at some point. Then we need to enter the emergency mode.  First Create a partition. Use following steps. In this chapter we are going to teach about how to interrupt the kernel and break the current password. Why break the password? When current password is lost, we use this mechanism to change root password and log in to the system. Simply we override the current password . If you have sudo privilege, log with another user and change the password. We have several ways to do this.
